Eastern US has witnessed an issue emerged in Youtube, SnapChat, and Gmail on Sunday. However, the issue has been fixed now, Google Cloud encountered with over extensive issue on Sunday, the issue has created a havoc on Youtube, Snapchat, Gmail conflict and also host the other famous apps and facilities in all over the eastern US. Google noticed “high levels of network congestion in the eastern USA, affecting multiple services in Google Cloud, G Suite, and YouTube.” The company also asserted in a statement around 2 PM “Users may see a slow performance or intermittent errors,”
The company also disclosed that they detected the major cause of the issue and they would make sure that they solve the problem soon and return to normal service shortly. It is to be stated by the company: “We believe we have identified the root cause of the congestion and expect to return to normal service shortly.”
It was confirmed by Google’s Cloud status page that the company is confronting the issue from 1 PM. The search giant engine had tagged Google cloud Compute Engine and Cloud Networking and also detect that the problem is occurring on its status dashboard.
At around 4 PM its is updated on the status page that had been shown that the network congestion issue is untangled, according to a given statement by the company that said the issue “is resolved for the vast majority of users, and we expect a full resolution in the near future.” After one hour of this status update the dashboard of Google Cloud status shows all service available at 5 PM.
It is to assure by the Google spokesperson that the network congestion that impacts on Google Cloud, G, Suite and Youtube in the region of eastern USA, that also have been managed and solved by the company now they all back to normal and users can again use the services without any interruption, has been said around 4 PM. The company also make assure that they completely examined the issue and will do suitable enhancement to prevent this issue again in the future.
In a report from CNET that shows that Youtube get back to normal and working properly and reporters also manage to get access to the video streaming site in the West Coast. An editor of CNET from the east coast also witnessed the problem. He founds that it is unable to reach the video for about 15 minutes.
As well know that Google cloud is the company providing hosting, exactly the same as Amazon’s Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Apart from giving strength to its own company, other companies also depend on Google’s infrastructure in order to get backend for their apps and services that includes Snapchat and Uber. Some other services that also depend on the Google cloud for hosting to provide backend witnessed the issue on Sunday. It is a widespread issue that made its impact on all over eastern Coast of the US and also in Europe as it also encountered with the issue in Youtube and Gmail.
