In a recent announcement, Microsoft has said that it will make every window into a tabbed window has been removed from the latest Insider Preview build of Windows 10. As per some reports, this feature will not be coming back in this year’s next major update which is due in October.
This will mark the second time that Sets have been included in a preview release which is only can be removed in the later before the release of the update. When they first announced the Sets, the company was careful to the note that it was not bringing the Sets for any particular release. It was even not for the complexities of application compatibility and uncertainty about the people who will be using this feature.
The promise of Sets will be high, and it put tabs in every window for solving the long-standing requests of users. But Sets are different, and it allows to collect all different applications and then they need to be grouped with tabs to switch them. Sets have become the way of managing one’s workspace, and it will allow you to combine a Word window of the school paper with the online resources that you are using to write the paper.
The next new version of the Windows is named as version 1809 which comes with the codename “Redstone 5,” and it will be a special release. This new version 1809 is going to support the long-term support channel (LTSC) release, and it means it will receive the traditional ten years of support and security fixes in place of 18 months of patches and supports. This new version will make this kind of partial and phased release which will be less appealing for the people who use is with partial feature until the next LTSC release is made in the year 2021.
