As it is being speculated in recent reports, Apple has plans to launch three new iPhone models this year. And out of the three models, the one which is expected to be the most high-demand 2018 iPhone model is the affordable iPhone refresh. Well, you can now get a sneak-peak of this handset with a leaked render posted at BGR, which claims to have obtained the picture from a reliable source.
The leaked render of the upcoming iPhone, which is expected to be an iPhone refresh model, reportedly shows that the device will sport a 6.1 inch LCD screen and will be equipped with a beautiful design and insanely powerful technology such as the Face Unlock.
For context, the 6.1 inch iPhone model is said to be an entry-level handset for this year’s Apple iPhone release. As per rumoured reports, this handset will be released along with the other two devices this fall, a 5.8 inch iPhone model which will mainly be another version of the iPhone X and the massive 6.4 inch iPhone X Plus.
Coming back to the rendered image, the 6.1 inch iPhone refresh looks more or less like the iPhone X at first glance, having a similar edge-to-edge display along with a notch which will house the Face Unlock sensor.
To make the device affordable, Apple reportedly will be ditching the 3D Touch feature and including just a single rear-facing the camera as opposed to two. The company may also offer 3GB RAM, which is just 1GB less than the current iPhone X, as per the rumoured reports.
The biggest difference lies in the display of the phone as the 6.1 inch iPhone will most likely not sport an OLED screen like the iPhone X and instead feature an LCD, similar to previous Apple iPhone models. As LCDs are comparatively cheaper than OLED displays, the company will reportedly be able to bring down the cost of the device.
Despite being priced at an affordable amount, the 6.1 inch iPhone will sport a larger display compared to the iPhone X and rumoured iPhone XI but will be smaller than the iPhone X Plus.
